Song to Guatemala
My beautiful Guatemala is a great country,
that God placed in Central America,
It is his paradise soil, where peace and freedom nest.
Their flowery wonderlands are,
For its flowers and its fruits an Eden,
It is beautiful Guatemala, my dear homeland, land of love.
Its high mountains, its magical volcanoes,
its beautiful meadows, charm are without equal.
The sun that shines on its soil,
gilds its wheat fields and gives grains to the corn,
the palms and the pine forests,
They grow in their forests where the hummingbird nests.
Land of my elders,
my beautiful Guatemala, save my dear homeland
that in the whole world has no equal.
