Fees and Requirements to request the Digital Passport

Note: Those under 21 years of age can only apply for a 5 year old passport.

5-year passport

Requirements

  1. Current Honduran identity card.
  2. If she is a woman and wants her married name to appear in her Passport, she will present the original Marriage Certificate.
  3. If the request for your passport is due to the fact that it was stolen, damaged or lost, you must file a complaint with the Police where the event occurred or, failing that, make an Affidavit at the Consular Office where your Passport will be processed. (The Affidavit has a value of US$ 50.00).
  4. If you want your Passport to be sent to her house, under her responsibility, you must bring a US$8.70 stamp.
  5. Proof of payment: Money Order*
  6. Printed appointment confirmation.

Additional documentation**

Requirements when not carrying a valid identity card, but if you processed it in Honduras, you must present it.

  1. Original digital birth certificate.
  2. At least one document from Honduras that has your photograph on it, such as:
    • Driving License.
    • Honduran Social Security Institute card.
    • Official documents issued by the State in which she resides and can be: residence card or TPS if she resides in the United States of America.

Requirements when not carrying a valid identity card, but if you processed it in Honduras, you must present it. –

For never having processed the valid identity card in Honduras; – For being of legal age and that he left Honduras as a minor and that he never processed the current identity card and that he has documents with photography from Honduras and;

Because you are of legal age and have lived abroad for many years and state that you do not have supporting documents but if you have relatives in Honduras, you must submit:

  1. Original digital birth certificate.
  2. At least one document from Honduras that has your photograph on it, such as:
    • Driving License.
    • Honduran Social Security Institute card.
    • Official documents issued by the State in which you reside and can be: residence card or TPS if you reside in the United States of America.
  3. Copy of the identity card of your father or mother.
  4. Affidavit of their parents or, failing that, of a relative from the second to the fourth degree of consanguinity, issued by a Notary in Honduras or by one of our Consular Offices. The Affidavit must include a photograph of the applicant and said document must state that the image corresponds to the citizen requesting the passport.

If the applicant is under 21 years of age, they must present:

  1. Original digital birth certificate. In the case of Minors, present an identity card.
  2. Introduce yourself with the parents duly documented. In the event that one or both parents are not present, the absent father and/or mother must present an original Authorization issued by a Notary in Honduras or from the nearest Honduran Consular Office where the absent father or mother is, in which indicate the name of the person who authorizes their representation for the minor.
  3. Copy of the identity cards or passports of the parents or of the person Authorized to carry out the procedure.
  4. In the event that one of the parents has died, the interested party must submit an original copy of the Death Certificate issued by the respective authority. Whoever has parental authority over the minor must present the original resolution issued by the Family Court of First Instance in Honduras.

*The Money Order applies only in our Consular Offices in the United States of America and the rest of our Consular Offices use the method of payment through bank windows. CASH PAYMENT IS NOT ACCEPTED AT THE CONSULAR OFFICES.
